FORSTEK’s VII-5050, is a non-polymer liquid formulated mixture of selective mineral oils, that provides robust viscosity and thermal stability for use in industrial and automotive lubricant manufacturing. FORS-VII-5050 was tested and used in the manufacturing of lubricants from re-cycled and virgin base oils.

  • Recycled Oil: Initial test results of FORS-VII-5050 with the addition of 5% of dosage on refined recycled lubricant oil, the VII increase ranged from 72 to 110 in one case, and from 80 to 118 with 8%
  • SAE30: 8% addition showed an improvement in VII from 94 -102
  • Base oil: 5% addition showed an increase in VII from 1 to 113

Manufacturers of lubricants can use VII-5050 as a replacement for the traditional co-polymers as thickening material, and enjoy the same benefit with simpler process of manufacturing and huge savings in heating costs.
